Which one is better on the Sony a7 III: the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8, or the Canon 24-70mm f2.8L II with a Metabones adapter?

The Canon.

Why? Itu2019s a newer lens.

A better comparison would be the Tamron 24u201370 f/2.

8 G2, which compares very closely in tests to the Canon.

And costs far less.

I own one, and it is stellar.

That said, it is mated to one of my three Canon bodies, which Iu2019m happy with.

Now, if someone would give me that Sony, or better, the R, Iu2019d love it, Iu2019m sure!

Good and cheap dont mix.

The better lenses are the L (luxury) lenses, and they arent cheap.

BUT there are some good lenses at bargain prices you can use in your full-frame camera (it doesnt accept any EF-S lenses, dont even try them, theyll break your camera).

Both are very good lenses but Iu2019d guess that AF will work better in low light with the Canon.

I have a Tamron 12u201324 f/2.

8 and a Tamron 70u2013200 f/2.

8 that I use on my A7 RII with the Metabones adapter.

In normal light they are quick focusing but in low light they struggle or fail.

tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 sony review

After having shot with the Tamron 28u201375mm f/2.

8 for six months, I would not bother looking any further.

It really is the only lens you need.

Excellent value.

nPeople rave about the 135mm.

If you have enough room, OK.

nThe one Iu2019d pick would be the Samyang.

nThere are a million reviews and comparisons on the Net.

nIf you have to look with a microscope to find differences, obviously, they are not very important.

,Rokinon/Samyang offers great value!,(The picture was taken with Tamron 28u201375 mm at 75mm in natural light)
